about
I am an impressionistic painter and educator living in Longmont, Colorado. I moved here from Virginia in 2015 with my husband and our three furry children. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts, Studio Art: Painting and Drawing and a minor in Psychology from Texas Tech University. I am currently Early Childhood Teaching Certified and an active member of the Longmont Artist Guild in Longmont, CO.
I work in acrylic paint and gel mediums, creating work inspired by dreams, animals, and the surroundings of my travels. I enjoy capturing that perfect moment in time that I want to forever remember. I also handbuild every frame out of pine, hand stretch, and gesso each canvas so every inch of my painting is original.
At a young age, what had started as an honest love for art has grown into a passion for children’s education. I was fortunate to be a lead preschool teacher for almost three years at Primrose School of Longmont. While living in Virginia, I taught and developed art classes while assisting in an interactive children's art gallery at the Taubman Museum of Art. I also participated in outreach art programs and managed a paint-your-own-pottery shop, teaching glazing, and glass techniques. I truly enjoy sharing my art with others and helping people grow and learn in this fun and creative world.

Art Lessons: Home Visit
In and around Longmont, CO
All Ages / M-Sun / 10am-7:00pm
I come to you! on your own schedule with all materials and supplies. Depending on weather and the project we can walk to a nearby park, work in your backyard or right inside your home! 1.5 hour sessions are available weekly, bi-weekly or monthly allowing you to explore multiple artistic mediums at your own pace. You may choose to work in drawing, acrylic painting, watercolors, clay or whatever your heart desires! Meet the masters, explore art history and learn a variety of techniques, while using your hands and hearts to create art that is unique and meaningful. By making mistakes and envisioning solutions, you will learn to work and think like an artist.
INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE LESSON - one-on-one:
1.5 hr lesson ............... $50/per student
All materials included.
4 Lesson Workshop
1.5 hr lesson ............. $160/per student
All materials included.
GROUP LESSON - 2 to 4 students:
Invite your friends or family to join!
1.5 hr lesson ............ $35/ per student
All materials included.
4 Lesson Workshop
1.5 hr lesson ............ $100/ per student
All materials included.
(The workshop of 4 lessons do not have to be consecutive but must take place within a 6th-month time period)
PAYMENT: Cash or Check or Zelle. Full payment due at first class when registered for a workshop of 4 classes.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If a lesson is not canceled within 24 hours of scheduled lesson, full payment is due.
Art Birthday Parties
In and around Longmont, CO
If you have a child who loves art, then Art Birthday Parties are the perfect solution! The parties can take place at your house – I come to you. You just need to clear a space for me to set up. I have done parties in dining rooms, backyards, and or even at parks. I set up an arts & crafts stations of your choosing (supplies are included in the price). You can either pick from the ideas below, or we can come up with something different. I am always open to new ideas!
Cost: $250 for up to 10 children (supplies included) plus $12 for each extra child.
Place: Your place! I come to you.
Party time frame: Approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours (depending on age)
Total time: 2.5 to 3 hours [one hour of set up, 1 – 1.5 hours of arts & crafts, half hour clean up]
What’s included: One hand-drawn birthday party canvas for the guests to decorate with handprints as a keepsake for the birthday child AND an arts & crafts station of your choosing with all materials included.
